Zi Lei

Looking for his "Forever Family

He is in constant motion.  He greets visitors, before they arrive at his home, by running a lap around them then racing back to report to his foster mother.  His favorite toy is his tricycle.  He loves to run outside, hop on his tricycle, do a circle, hop off his tricycle then run back inside to make sure his foster mother is where she is supposed to be.  He is a bouncing ball of love and energy.

Zi Lei was born July 30, 2007 with Spina Bifida.  He arrived at True Children's Home April 2, 2008. Zi Lei's medical condition is stable.  His surgery was performed at Zi Jiang Medical University Children's Hospital on May 21, 2008. He does not suffer from hydrocephalus or paralysis as some children with Spina Bifida.

September 1, 2010 Zi Lei started school where he studies and plays Monday - Friday 8:00a.m. -3:30p.m.  He loves to sing songs and recite poems with his classmates.  His teachers adore him.  Some words they use to describe him are "hen tiaopi" and "hen congming."  This means he is very playful and smart.

Our wish for Zi Lei is to be matched with a forever family in 2011.

HAPPY HOLIDAYS FROM OUR HOME TO YOURS!

All of the children and staff at True Children's Home wish you the happiest of holidays!

Kevin (En Bao)

Dear Friends,

We are
parents of En Bao, now called Kevin.  We adopted this precious baby only 12 months ago.  Kevin is a happy child, very friendly, dining, playful and very affectionate, and has adapted quickly to us and our environment. In the morning he goes to kindergarten and plays with his peers, in the afternoon he naps and plays and learns with us and his other siblings. He loves animals and songs, and dances and leaps.  He speaks  alot and is strong and healthy, not sick and wants to learn everything very fast. I am sending photos of his development and we again offer our friendship and support as you need.

Lovingly,
Paco and Maria with Kevin

Dear Friends,

Hope this e-mail finds you well.  Yu Ming (Ansel) continues to do incredibly well thanks to all the incredible loving and care he received through the True Children's Home.  This photo is actually from last xmas.  He is now a little over 3.5 years old.  He can swim, downhill ski on his own and is enrolled in an accredited French Immersion School in our hometown of Freeport, Maine.  We hope to have him begin learning Mandarin in the next few years.  He is one outgoing, happy child.

Best,

Ansel and Family

All,

Here are some pictures of "Hello Kitty Ballerina".  She was a hit, from down the street you could hear "It's Hello Kitty".  She loved it and we all had a blast carving all different Hello Kitty pumpkins.

Abigail (Lan Ting)

Hello Friends,

It has been so long since we communicated and I just wanted to once again share with you how thankful we are for True Children's Home and the loving care our Abigail experienced while with you.  It will be two years in November since she came home and she is doing so well and is just so loved here by everyone.  She is enjoying "school" this year and learning so much and can pronounce her sounds so well and is always taking care of her stuffed animals, dolls, and all the babies she meets.  She likes to swing, is practicing riding her tricycle and is also our little helper at home.  Attached are a couple pictures (one is Abigail with her big sister and the other is her on the big swing).

Blessings to you all,

Abigail and Family

Adoption Update

Lilah (Xin En)

Dear Friends,

We wanted to send you an update to let you know how Lilah (Xin En) has been doing.  Lilah has adjusted very well to her new family and her life in Canada.  She is kept very busy with her siblings, who are constantly doting on her!  She has started gymnastics and a music class this fall and is loving both.  She seems to be very interested in anything musical and dance.  She is always singing along to the radio and bobs her head to the beat.  People continue to be amazed at how smart she is and how good her manners are.  She is a little blessing!

Lilah is now wearing glasses.  The vision in her right eye was non-existentand so we did some patch therapy and the ophthamologist
has been amazed at the progress that has been made;  her vision came back very quickly and much better than he ever expected it would.  Lilah's doctors are arranging and planning for her surgeries, which are set to begin in Spring.  She will have two or three surgeries.  They say it will make a huge difference in her appearance and she will have a slight scar that will fade over time.

We are currently in Sichuan to pick up another daughter (Zoe) who is 19 days older than Lilah.  She has been so excited to come and get her new sister and friend!  We believe it will be a great benefit to these two girls to have each other as they grow and we as a family are so excited to add one more amazing blessing to our family.  How blessed we are!

We hope all is well at True Children's Home.  We love getting the newsletters and reading all the updates.

Sincerely,

En and Family

Adoption Update

Hello,

It´s now wintertime here in Denmark. Albert is enjoying it. He loves the snow and the fun. He is now a big boy -  4½ years old. In the summertime another Danish family was in Guangzhou. They were in the process of adopting a boy. Laura asked if I had seen it on your newsletter. The little boy was adopted by one of my friends. He is living nearby us. He has come to a very fine family. I have seen him 5 times.

In February we were in Taiwan. Albert is now a big brother to a girl. Here name is Andrea Yi-Ting. She is now 22 month old. With 3 children in the house there is a lot of activity.

Albert can write his name and he is very active. He learned to ride

his bike before he was 4 years. He loves to jump and go to work with his dad on the farm. He loves Legos, machines and tractors. He knows how d fool around. He is now 103 centimeters and weighs only 14,5 kilo.He is really a boy. He loves to to charm people. He is very found of the pictures from his time with you. He often talks about where he is from, and where his little sister is from.

Best regards here from Denmark and Merry Christmas to you all.

--Albert and Family

Adoption Update

Dear Friends,

The miracle that the child we first sponsored at TCH was adopted by a family only 15 minutes from our home continues to amaze us.  We are so thankful for both of these little girls and their sweet friendship.  They spent Chinese New Year together and we had this photo taken.  They have also celebrated their birthdays (both in November) and their adoption days!  We are blessed every day by the good care these dear daughters of China have received at TCH.  May God continue to bless your work.
